Apax the Mystery Bidder for UK’s Floors 2 Go

London, England, January 10–Apax Partners, the private equity group, is the bidder for Floors 2 Go PLC, the Sunday Times reported.

The AIM-listed flooring retailer admitted to a bid approach on Dec. 17 but did not name its suitor.

According to the newspaper, since Floors 2 Go opened talks with Apax it has been contacted by a number of other private-equity firms.

It said the talks with Apax are progressing well and a formal offer could be announced in the next few weeks.
