Meritage Homes Posts 3Q Loss

Scottsdale, AZ, October 26, 2007–Meritage Homes posted a loss in the third quarter saying its orders fell 23%.

The company reported a third quarter net loss of $119 million, or $4.52 a share, compared with a profit of $60 million, or $2.25 per share in the same quarter of last year.

Analyst expected a loss of $2.15 per share.
