Propex Raising Prices 6% as Costs Increase

Chattanooga, TN, June 5, 2008–Propex Inc., the major supplier of primary and secondary carpet backing to the carpet industry, said it will raise prices 6 percent effective July 2.

The company said the increase is driven by the increasing cost of polypropylene resin.
