Consumer Sentiment Slightly Better Than Expected


Ann Arbor, MI, Feb. 27, 2009–The University of Michigan/Reuters Consumer Sentiment Index fell in late February to 56.3 from 61.2 in January, according to a media report by the University of Michigan and Reuters.

Analysts were looking for a final February reading of 56.2. A reading earlier in the month estimated sentiment at 56.2.
