Uniboard Investing in New Press in Canada

Neumarkt, Germany, Sept. 15, 2009–Pfleiderer subsidiary Uniboard said it is investing more than $2 million in a new short-cycle press at its Canadian plant in Val-d’Or.

The new press, which will be installed in the fourth quarter and will go into operation earlfy next year, will create thermo-fused melamine panels.

“The flexibility of this new equipment will give us competitive advantages in our core markets of Quebec, Ontario and the northeastern U.S.,” said Uniboard CEO James Hogg.
