Teragren Announces Photo Contest Winners

Bainbridge Island, WA, May 23, 2011–Teragren announced the winners of the company’s photo contest for 2011.

“We were overwhelmed with the entries this year,” said Ann Knight, co-founder and global brand director at Teragren. “We received entries worldwide and were excited to see so many different applications of our bamboo flooring, panel and worktop products.”

Brent Rogers, a principal at NBBJ Architects in Seattle, and Juan Lacape, director of Lakp Design & Development of Ciudad de Guatemala, both received a $500 award.

Rogers’ home features custom kitchen cabinetry made with Teragren cross-ply traditional bamboo panels combined with stainless and translucent glass. “I chose a very limited palette of stainless, translucent glass and Teragren furniture-grade bamboo panels with the beautiful exposed edge detail,” said Rogers.

“Teragren’s Studio wide-plank bamboo flooring and 4’x8x3/4” cross-ply panels were the best product for the application and the highest-quality product available with environmentally-friendly attributes”, said Lacape.
