Empire State Building Gets LEED Certification

New York, NY, Sept. 14, 2011 — The Empire State Building has been awarded LEED Gold for Existing Buildings certification.

It’s the tallest and most well known building in the U.S. to receive LEED certification.

The retrofit included the use of carpet with recycled content, as well as low VOC adhesives.
