InterfaceFlor in European Recycling Arrangement

The Netherlands, Oct. 27, 2011 — Modular flooring manufacturer InterfaceFlor has signed a pan-European carpet-tile recycling agreement with waste management specialist SITA.

Rather than being sent to landfill, the tiles will be returned to InterfaceFlor to be re-used through its ReEntry 2.0 technology.

According to InterfaceFlor, in Europe alone, an estimated 30 million square meters of carpet tiles are sent to landfills or incinerated each year.
