House Prices Rise in April

Washington, DC, June 21, 2012 — U.S. house prices rose 0.8% in April, the Federal Housing Finance Agency said Thursday.

Prices for March were revised down to a 1.6% increase from an original reading of a 1.8% gain.

In the past 12 months, prices have risen 3.0%, though they are down 17% compared to an April 2007 peak.
