Washington, DC, Aug. 22, 2012 — Home resales rose 2.3% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 4.47 million in July, the National Association of Realtors reported Wednesday.
The consensus estimate was 4.5 million units.
The median price of resold homes climbed 9.4% year-on-year to $187,300, and inventories rose 1.3% to 2.4 million units, representing 6.4 months of supply.
