Productivity Rises in Third Quarter

Washington, DC, Dec. 5, 2012 — Worker productivity rose 2.9% from July through September, according to the Labor Department.

That’s the fastest pace in two years and higher than the initial estimate of 1.9%.

Also, labor costs dropped at a rate of 1.9%.
