Washington, DC, Dec. 21, 2012 — U.S. consumer spending increased in November by the most in three years, according to the Commerce Department.
The government said consumer spending rose 0.6%, and after-tax income climbed 0.8%.
Spending without inflation adjustments rose 0.4%.
The rise in real spending was the largest increase since August 2009.
