Manufacturing Accelerates in February

Tempe, AZ, March 1, 2013 — Manufacturing in the U.S. accelerated at a faster pace than expected in February, reaching the highest level since June 2011.

The Institute for Supply Management’s factory index rose to 54.2 last month from 53.1 in January.

Orders expanded the most in almost two years, the report showed.
