Initial Unemployment Applications Edge Down

Washington, DC, Nov. 14, 2013 — Initial applications for unemployment benefits fell by 2,000 to 339,000 in the week ended Nov. 9, the Labor Department said.

Economists expected claims to fall to 335,000 on a seasonally adjusted basis.
