ADP Reports 175,000 Jobs Added in January

Roseland, NJ, Feb. 5, 2014 — Private employers added 175,000 jobs in January, according to the monthly ADP Employment Report.

Severe winter weather held hiring down.

Economists had expected a gain of 180,000 jobs.

December’s number was revised down to 227,000 from the initially reported 238,000.

Small businesses showed the largest growth, with 75,000 jobs added.
