Business Inventories Rise Again in February

Washington, DC, April 14, 2014 –U.S. business inventories rose again in February as sales increased by the largest amount in nine months, according to the Commerce Department.

Inventories rose 0.4% in February after the same 0.4% increase in January.

Sales rose 0.8% in February, rebounding after a 1.1% sales decline in January that was blamed on the harsh winter weather.

Manufacturers’ inventories rose the most in February, a gain of 0.7%.
