Construction Spending Edges Up in May

Washington, DC, July 1, 2014 — Construction spending edged up 0.1% in May, according to the Commerce Department.

Spending hit an annual rate of $956.1 billion. However, April’s construction spending was revised up to show a 0.8% rise.

Economists had expected construction spending to rise 0.5%.
