Private Sector Employment Increased by 205,000 Jobs in January

Roseland, NJ, February 3, 2016—Private sector employment increased by 205,000 jobs from December to January according to the January ADP National Employment Report.

Small businesses added 79,000 jobs; medium businesses added 82,000 jobs; and large businesses added 44,000 jobs.

The goods-producing sector added 13,000 jobs, while the service-producing sector added 192,000.

The industry breakdown is as follows: construction, 21,000; manufacturing, 0; trade/transportation/utilities, 35,000; financial activities, 19,000; and professional/business services, 44,000.
