Kaisersesch, Germany, March 31, 2015— Düsseldorf district court has confirmed that laminate flooring products with the Zip’N’Go technology sold by EPI / Alsapan fall under the joint licensing agreement, as they use the CLASSEN megaloc patent family.
The positive verdict for Classen is based on a claim that the laminate flooring manufacturer filed on 02.26.2014 with the Düsseldorf district court against its megaloc licensee, EPI/Alsapan. Since 2012 EPI/Alsapan has used the self-developed Zip’N’Go system instead of the previously used MEGALOC system and has not paid any royalties for this product to the Classen licensor.
