April Durable Goods Orders Higher Than Expected


Washington, DC, May 24, 2013 — Durable goods orders rose more than expected in April, according to the Commerce Department.

New orders increased 3.3% last month.

Economists had expected new durable goods orders to rise 1.5% last month.

The Commerce Department also revised March orders to show a smaller decline than estimated earlier.
