Atlanta Builder Reports Home Orders Up

Atlanta, GA, Oct. 6–Beazer Homes USA, Inc. said fourth-quarter new home orders increased 3.5% to 3,862 units, from 3,731 units in the fourth-quarter of 2002.

In a press release Monday, the homebuilder said new home orders for the year ending Sept. 30, increased about 2.2% to 16,316 units from 15,963 units last year on a pro forma basis.

2002 new home orders include orders at Crossmann Communities, Inc. which Beazer bought in April of that year.
