Auto Carpet Firm Setting Up in Chattanooga

Chattanooga TN, Aug. 13, 2007–A new company specializing in automotive carpet is setting up production here next year, according to a story in the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

Toyota Tsusho, part of the Toyota Group that includes the giant automaker, is joining with Hasetora Spinning Co. to form Tuftora Automotive Carpet.

Plans are to invest $4 million and initially employ 20 people, the newspaper reported.

Tuftora will make carpet for the top suppliers of auto companies.
