Average Hourly Earnings Edge Down in June


Washington, DC, July 2, 2010–U.S. average hourly earnings of all employees in the private nonfarm sector fell by $0.02, or 0.1%, to $22.53 in June, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said today.

Over the past 12 months, average hourly earnings have increased by 1.7%.

In June, average hourly earnings of private-sector production and non-supervisory employees were unchanged at $19.00.
