Centiva Wins Environmental Award from Florence

Florence, AL, April 29, 2010–Centiva has received the first annual Green Team Partners award from the city of Florence.
 
The annual Green Team Partners Award recognizes a company or individual that is practicing resource efficiency.

The winning company must achieve a successful business operation while protecting the environment. A Green Team Partner not only conserves resources but educates about resource conservation.

The standards for the award are divided into five categories: General Green, Water Conservation, Energy Conservation, Solid Waste Reduction, and Pollution Prevention.
 
Centiva tracks water and energy usage, has adopted a written environmental policy, has established a “green team,” and has provided on-going training on water conservation and recycling. It has made manufacturing changes to conserve energy, filters water, and has an extensive recycling program, among other sustainable practices.
