Chicago Business Activity Continues To Expand

Chicago, IL, April 30, 2012 —  Chicago business activity as measured by the Chicago PMI dropped in April to 56.2% from 63.3% in March.

The reading was a 29-month low, as gauges for production and new orders slowed dramatically, ISM-Chicago said.

However, the reading was still well over the 50% mark denoting expansion.
