Confindustria Ceramica Names Stone Tile Distributor of the Year

Orlando, FL, May 1, 2025-Confindustria Ceramica (the Association of Italian Ceramics) has announced the winner of the 2025 North American Distributor award: Stone Tile International.

Each year, the association honors a standout North American distributor company that not only boasts a long–standing commitment to Italian ceramic products but also exemplifies deep industry expertise and a passion for promoting the excellence of Italian craftsmanship.

After an extensive evaluation process led by a supervisory committee–and informed by feedback from Ceramics of Italy member companies–Confindustria Ceramica has selected Stone Tile International, based in Toronto, Canada, as the recipient of this year’s award.

Founded in 1991 by Sylvia Benchimol and Carl Hesse, Stone Tile International has grown into one of Canada’s leading distributors of top–of–the–line surface materials and a recognized authority on tile and stone trends. Today, the company continues to thrive under second-generation leadership, backed by a dedicated team of over 165 employees. With showrooms and distribution centers in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver, the company represents numerous Italian manufacturers, with ceramic tiles accounting for 65% of its total sales in 2024.
