Consumer Confidence Fall on ‘Cliff’ Concerns

Washington, DC, Dec. 28, 2012 — Consumer confidence dropped in December to the lowest level in four months, according to the Conference Board.

The Conference Board said its index fell to 65.1 in December from a downwardly revised 71.5 in November, as consumers are wary about the so-called fiscal cliff.

Expectations fell to 66.5 in December, the lowest reading since November 2011.
