Ann Arbor, MI, Dec. 21, 2012 — The final University of Michigan-Thomson Reuters consumer sentiment index fell in December to a reading of 72.9 from 82.7 in November.
That’s also lower than the preliminary reading for December at 74.5.
Economists said concerns about the so-called fiscal cliff offset lower gasoline prices and higher stock values.
