D.R. Horton Reports Increased 3rd Quarter Income

Fort Worth, TX, July 29, 2015—D.R. Horton, the largest home construction company in the U.S., reported that fiscal third-quarter net income increased to $221.4 million, or 60 cents a share, for the three months that ended June 30, compared with $113.1 million, or 32 cents, a year earlier.

D.R. Horton’s orders increased 22% in the quarter from a year earlier to 10,398 homes. The value of those houses rose 25% to $3 billion. Home-building revenue jumped 37% to $2.9 billion.
