DSM to Expand Caprolactam Capacity in Netherlands

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, October 5, 2007– Royal DSM NV said it will invest 25 million euros in the expansion and modernization of its caprolactam plant at Geleen in the Netherlands.

DSM said the investment will allow it to gradually expand the capacity of the plant.

Caprolactam is the key raw material for Nylon-6, a highly versatile material that is used to make not only textile, carpet and technical fibres, but also engineering plastics and packaging films.
