Factory Orders Fall on Fewer Aircraft

Washington, DC, Oct. 2, 2014 — Factory orders fell in August on weakness in the aircraft sector, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Orders fell 10.1%. However, stripping out aircraft, orders fell just 0.1%.

In August, orders for transportation equipment declined 42.2%.
