Factory Orders Highest Since 1992

Washington, DC, Jan. 6, 2013 — Factory orders in November rose 1.8%, up from a revised decline of 0.5% in October, according to the Commerce Department.
 
Orders reached $497.9 billion, the highest level since 1992. Excluding  transportation, new orders increased 0.6%. Aircraft orders rose 21.8%, driving most of the gain.
