Kuopio, Finland, December 18, 2006–Hardwood flooring producer Karelia said it has acquired Romanian factory and sawmill Larodan, located in Transylvania, close to oak, ash and beech forests.
Karelia has set up a wholly owned subsidiary that is to start production next year.
“Including total investments, the parquet factory acquisitions are estimated to reach 12-15 million euros over 2007 and 2008,” the statement added.
