
New York, NY, Nov. 6, 2012 — Home prices fell in September as values were depressed by cheaper distressed sales, according to CoreLogic.
CoreLogic’s home price index fell 0.3% from August. Prices were still up strongly compared with a year ago, rising 5% for the biggest increase since July 2006.
Excluding distressed sales, prices were up 0.5% from August and also gained 5% from last year.
