House Prices Rise in May, Up Over 2011

Washington, DC, July 24, 2012 — Home prices rose 0.8% on a seasonally adjusted basis in May, the Federal Housing Finance Agency said.

The increase followed a revised 0.7% increase in April.

From May 2011 to May 2012, prices rose 3.7%, the agency said, although the index is still 17% below its peak set in April 2007.
