Industrial Accident Kills Propex Worker

Chattanooga, TN, February 11, 2008 –Jason Wolfe, an employee at Propex, died after suffering injuries on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the company’s Ringgold, Ga. plant.

Propex said it is working with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration on an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

Coworkers told Chattanooga television station WDEF News 12 that Wolfe was working near a large piece of equipment when he was pulled into the machine and fatally injured.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic accident at our Ringgold plant that has resulted in the death of Jason Wolfe, one of our team members,” said Joe Dana, president of Propex.
