Initial Jobless Claims Fall Third Week in Row

Washington, DC, Dec. 6, 2012 — Initial applications for unemployment benefits fell for the third straight week, according to the Labor Department.

Claims fell by 25,000 to a seasonally adjusted 370,000 in the week ended Dec. 1.

Economists had forecast claims to drop to 375,000.
