
Washington, DC, Sept. 6, 2012 — Initial applications for unemployment benefits fell last week to the lowest level in a month, according to the Labor Department.
Initial claims dropped 12,000 to a seasonally adjusted 365,000, the Labor Department said.
It was the first drop in new claims since the week that ended August 4.
Economists had forecast claims falling to 370,000.
