Jobless Claims Fell 12,000 Last Week

Washington, DC, October 11, 2007—Jobless claims fell by 12,000 to 308,000 for the week ended October 6, according to the Labor Department.

 

The four-week average of claims dropped by 3,000 to 310,250.

 

Tthe number of continuing jobless claims fell to their lowest level since mid-June. Continuing claims dropped by 15,000 to 2.52 million during the week ending Sept. 29, the data show.
