Jobless Claims Tick Up Last Week

Washington, DC, Jan. 23, 2014 — Initial claims for state unemployment benefits last week edged up 1,000 to 326,000 from the week before, according to the Labor Department.

That was keeping in line with economists expectations.

The four-week average for new claims fell 3,750 to 331,500.
