Lowe’s to Purchase 13 Former Target Stores in Canada

Mooresville, NC, May 12, 2015—Lowe’s will purchase 13 former Target stores and a distribution center, all in Canada, for $125 million. These will be converted into Lowe’s Canada home improvement centers.

With the purchase, Lowe’s gains 2,000 employees.

The deal, which must be approved by the Canadian courts, is expected to close by June 30.
