Metroflor to Sponsor Women in Sustainability Leadership Awards

Norwalk, CT, August 2, 2017-Metroflor Corporation announced that it will sponsor the Fourth Annual Women in Sustainability Leadership Awards (WSLA), to be held during the GreenBuild International Conference & Expo November 7 to 11 in Boston.

WSLA is the top accolade of Green Building & Design magazine (gb&d), recognizing the most powerful women making a difference in the world through sustainability. Metroflor is also offering a matching grant to attract additional corporate sponsors.

The organization is accepting nominations for this year’s awards through August 11 online at http://gbdmagazine.com/wsla/. The awards were created around three key values: environmental stewardship, conduit for change, and giving back. Winners chosen by a jury of industry professionals will be feted at the dinner/awards ceremony during GreenBuild in November.

Winners will join a prestigious list of notable WSLA award recipients including Hillary Clinton, Angela Foster-Rice (United Airlines), Amanda Sturgeon (International Living Future Institute) Alicia Silva (Revitaliza Consultores, Mexico) and Jeanne Gang (Studio Gang Architects).
