Oriental Weavers Net Income Falls

Cairo, Egypt, June 14, 2011 — Oriental Weavers, the world’s biggest machine-woven carpet maker, reported a 15 percent drop in first-quarter net profit.

Consolidated net profit was $13.8 million, down from $16.3 million in the same period a year earlier.
