Producer Prices Rise in March

Washington, DC, April 11, 2014 — The producer price index rose 0.5% in March, the Labor Department said.

Overall inflation remains tame, however. Producer prices increased 1.4% during the past 12 months.

Excluding food, energy and retailer and wholesaler profit margins, core prices ticked up 0.3%.
