Bainbridge, GA, August 18, 2010–Propex will close its Bainbridge plant by the end of October, according to the Post-Searchlight.
The closing, according to the story, is due to a reduction in demand for secondary carpet backing, so the secondary carpet backing manufacturing is being consolidated with another Propex facility in Hazlehurst, Ga.
