Retail Sales Rise in November

Washington, DC, Dec. 13, 2012 — Retail sales rose in November, according to the Commerce Department.

Sales rose 0.3%, rebounding from a 0.3% decline in October. Economists had expected an increase of 0.5% last month.

Excluding sales of automobiles, gasoline and building materials, sales rose 0.5%.
