Third Quarter GDP Revised Slightly Higher

Washington, DC, Dec. 22, 2010 — The Commerce Department said the country’s gross domestic product rose 2.6% between July and September, up slightly from its earlier estimate of 2.5%.

Despite the smaller than expected upward revision, GDP growth in the third quarter still accelerated from the 1.7% growth seen in the second quarter and marks the fifth consecutive quarter of growth.
