Dallas, TX, Dec. 9, 2009–The patent infringment dispute between Chinese manufacturer Yekalon and Unilin took a new turn recently when a German court in Hamburg dismissed Yekalon’s argument that its locking technology did not contain a tongue and groove element.
Earlier the German court decided that Unilin did not provide enough evidence to maintain the injunction against Yekalon, a Chinese manufacturer of flooring products.
Unilin said it will confer with legal counsel about its next steps. The decision is open for appeal.
