UTT Backing Systems Get NSF-140 Approval

Dalton, GA, Nov. 11, 2011 — Universal Textile Technologies said its carpet backing systems have been verified by NSF International as meeting the requirements of the NSF/ANSI 140 standard.

This is in addition to the previous third party verification to be NSF-140 ready by UL Environments, a subsidiary of Underwriters Laboratories.

The American National Standard for Sustainable Carpet (NSF/ANSI 140) establishes sustainability performance requirements for evaluating a carpet product’s life-cycle and supply chain.
