Välinge Gets Two New U.S. Patents

Viken, Sweden, March 23, 2008–Välinge has received two new U.S. patents related to mechanical locking and plywood floors.

One of the applications is related to a plywood floor with a locking system having a locking strip made of several layers such that the number of layers differs along a length of the strip.

The new patent protects all plywood based locking systems designed by Välinge.

Another application is related to a mechanical locking system that uses displaced surfaces in the tongue/groove connection. All locking systems designed by Välinge use this technology.
